On Thursday, April 27, Labor & Employment chair Bill Tarnow presented at the Illinois Search & Staffing Association Midwest Staffing Conference in Oak Brook, Illinois. Bill participated in the breakout session entitled “Staffing Industry 2023 Legislative Horizon: What You Need to Know.” The session explored new and impending changes to the law impacting employers in Illinois (and elsewhere) in 2023. It also covered critical recent developments that change how employers can use confidentiality and separation agreements. Finally, it included an update on recent legal rulings that impact the scope of liability exposure for staffing agencies (and their clients) under the Illinois biometric privacy laws.
