Tonya Newman, chair of the Litigation & Disputes practice group, was quoted in the article "Product Liability Cases To Watch 2024: A Midyear Report," published by Law360 on July 26. The article discusses the various product liability suits that have come up thus far this year, including litigation involving social media companies accused of causing mental health and addiction issues for minors, as well as ongoing claims that per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), also known as, "forever chemicals" are linked to cancer. It also highlights that the legal community is monitoring lawsuits related to Zantac, the recalled heartburn medication, and its alleged carcinogenic properties.
