Lamden spoke on the panel "Reasonable Settlements, Stipulated Judgments, and Primary and Excess Insurers" at the ABA Tort Trial & Insurance Practice Section: Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee Midyear Program, in Phoenix, AZ. The panel discussed reasonable settlement standards, the mechanics of stipulated (or consent) judgments, and some distinct issues that arise when an excess insurer does not agree to settle a claim that exceeds the primary limits.
