Elliott, a partner in the Corporate & Securities practice group, focuses his practice on providing corporate advice, strategic counseling and transactional assistance to a wide range of clients, including high net worth individuals, privately held businesses and large public companies. He has deep experience in a wide range of transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructurings, shareholders’ agreements, partnership agreements, and equity investments. He also advises clients on general corporate and commercial matters.
Elliott was previously with Schlam Stone & Dolan LLP in New York, where he was a partner in the firm’s corporate practice. Before that, he was in-house corporate counsel for Amazon and worked as corporate attorney for a large, family-owned company. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable Naomi Reice Buchwald, U.S. District Court (S.D.N.Y.). Before law school, he was a private equity analyst and a corporate finance analyst in San Francisco. Elliott’s broad legal and business experiences give him a keen grasp of a wide variety of corporate legal matters, allowing him to provide his clients with pragmatic insights to a variety of legal challenges.
- Represented Equity Residential, one of the largest publicly traded owners and operators of high-quality multi-family residential properties in the United States, in connection with its $964 million acquisition of an 11-property multi-family residential/retail portfolio (located in Colorado, Georgia and Texas) from affiliates of Blackstone Real Estate Strategies.
