Alissa is an associate in the Labor & Employment practice group. Alissa counsels a diverse range of companies and organizations on various employee-related legal issues that arise at all stages of the employment relationship. Alissa drafts and negotiates employment agreements and restrictive covenants, advises on labor and employment policy strategies for corporations and nonprofit organizations, conducts training sessions, performs internal investigations, advises on individual and group separations, and partners with human resources professionals on compliance with various state and federal labor and employment laws. Alissa also represents employers throughout all stages of litigation and has broad experience defending employment discrimination, wage and hour, and restrictive covenant claims.
 
Active both at the firm and in her community, Alissa is a member of both the firm’s Sustainability Committee and Women’s Network. She gives back to the community through her involvement as President of the Young Professionals Board for Kids in Danger. She is also a co-chair of the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law’s Outreach Committee, where she actively plans and participates in programming discussing women in the legal industry. Alissa was also recognized as a Rising Star in 2023 and 2024 in Illinois Super Lawyers.

Before becoming an attorney, she was a law clerk with a Chicago law firm as well as the office of the Cook County State’s Attorney, where she prepared evidence for hearings, drafted memoranda, and prepared discovery items in preparation for trials. She was also an extern for Notre Dame’s General Counsel.
