Jeff is chair of the firm's Taxation practice group. He is a tax planning advisor and certified public accountant who serves clients by developing a broad range of international, federal, and state and local tax planning and controversy strategies. He works with clients to minimize tax obligations arising out of business formations, joint ventures, financings, equity offerings, reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, and loan workouts. He also represents business entities and high net worth individuals in all phases of tax controversy matters with the Internal Revenue Service and the Illinois Department of Revenue.
His national client base spans many industries and entity types, including real estate investment trusts (REITs), hedge funds and private equity funds and their sponsors, family offices, startups, partnerships and LLCs, public and privately held corporations, and wealthy individuals. Regardless of the entity structure or industry, Jeff always focuses on developing tax minimization strategies that are tailored to each client’s unique business objectives.
